Does anyone here know the best way to cook Butternut squash?

I just steam it...mash it...and mix some butter..brown sugar and cinnamon in it...sometimes some nutmeg...yummy yummy

Sweet butternut squash
Oven temp: 350
Servings: 2
Tips: Pierce with fork and microwave for 3 to 5 minutes for ease of halving and cleaning
Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 medium Butternut squash
Preparation Steps
1) Halve, clean out seeds, and bake the squash for about 45 minutes or untill almost soft
2) Or(pierce several times with fork) microwave for 3 to 5 minutes ,halve and clean out seeds.
3) proceed in oven or microwave untill almost soft. (nuke 5 to 10, bake 30- 45)
4) cut ridges into each half and top with butter, sugar and spices
5) bake or microwave 2-15 more minutes or untill soft
Tastes alot like sweet potatoes!

3 cups mashed, cooked butternut squash
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple with juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease one 2 quart casserole dish and set aside.
2 Combine the butternut squash, white sugar, brown sugar, margarine, pineapple, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. Mix well and pour into casserole dish.
3 Sprinkle with chopped nuts and bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
